Georg-Felix Sedlmeyer
Georg-Felix Sedlmeyer is a PhD student at Otto-Friedrich-University of Bamberg. His doctoral thesis focuses on the interactions between war damage assessment in German cities at the end of World War II and contemporary urban and reconstruction planning. As a research assistant, Sedlmeyer is involved in the DFG research project "Kriegsschadensaufnahme des Zweiten Weltkriegs in deutschen Städten als Heritage Making Moment“ since April 2019 at the Kompetenzzentrum Denkmalwissenschaften und Denkmaltechnologien (Competence Center for Heritage Studies and Technologies) at Otto-Friedrich-Universität Bamberg. He studied History, Heritage Conservation and Sociology between 2010 and 2017 at Otto-Friedrich-University of Bamberg, Germany. With his previous research findings on war damage maps of German cities, Sedlmeyer supports the UrbanMetaMapping research network.
